If you want to make blogging your business model, there are things you need to know. Sometimes those things have to do with what you should do, and other times they are things you absolutely have to avoid or…
Your Blog Will
Fail Miserably !
Let me tell you what the most commonly known, and at the same time, most dangerous and most stupidest blogging advice are.
1. Fake it Till You Make it
Believe it or not, but this is a real saying that goes around in the internet marketing industry. It’s very easy to hide behind a web page or an email address when you’re working on the web, and one of the most grievous mistakes people make when blogging is pretending to be experts in matters they know nothing about. In other words…
They’re Fakes !
It’s tempting to fall for that trap, but I am here to tell you that you shouldn’t do it. Why? Because if you do, sooner or later you’ll…
Get Busted !
Plain and simple. Someone out there will blow the lid off your little scheme and you’ll have a new nick name which starts with an “S” and rhymes with the word…
Hammer !
2. Post Till Your Fingers Bleed

(Above Photo Credit to: YazzAttack)
This is a huge load of crap. Some people say you need to log onto that Dashboard of yours and post on your blog each day. Others will tell you, you should do it 2 or 3 times a week. Let me say this much: It is almost irrelevant how often you post on your blog unless the content you put up is actionable, good quality stuff, and you take the time to…
Communicate
With Your Readers Somehow !
It doesn’t always have to be a blog. Well, it can be a YouTube channel, a Facebook page, a Twitter feed whatever. As long as they get or learn something from you…
They’ll Be Fine !
3. Focus On the Money
This is another thing people say a lot. Theoretically it makes sense, I mean, we’re marketers and we want a good ROI no matter what it is we’re doing, right? Well, yeah, but if you just focus on cash, your following will realize you don’t really care about them and they’ll…
Leave You
for Sure !
No one wants to be just an open wallet you call on whenever you need some dough. People are people and they want to feel important so, while money is important, it should never be the driving force behind…
What You’re Doing !
There’s a rule that said if you take care of the customer, the business will take care of itself. If you take care of the people that come to read your blog, the money will take care of itself.
You Won’t Even
Have to Ask for it !
Look, I’ve shared with you three of the stupidest blogging advice out there. Avoid them at all cost no matter what and never fall for them. Always focus on the relationship you have with your readers, customers, subscribers, whatever and you won’t have much problems getting…

I agree Wong, work smart, don’t just post random stuff all the time, take the time to maximize your posts, and get through to people, network when you can, it’s better to have 10 posts with 1000 visitors than 1000 posts with 10 visitors.

I certainly agree about not focussing on the money. There is nothing that turns me off reading a blog more than when you have to cut through the adverts and other stuff to read it. If a blog has a popup then I’m out of there straightaway.

Fake it till you make it is horrible advice. No one should ever blog about a subject or topic that they know nothing about. That’s just plain dumb. I wonder how successful the individuals giving that advice are?

if you are blogging , you have to look into the SEO part. if people arent going to find you in google , its really not worth the effort writing a great quality post .
after the panda algorithm change , the seo has changed a bit . Now google is loooking at how long a visitor stays at your site , so in this regard the site design , ease of use and user-friendliness matters .
a blogger has to be good on all fronts , and its tough than a day job [in terms of hours you spent on things you have to learn and master by yourself]
