Blog Content Tips, Blogging, Blogging Beginner's Guide, Featured

Have you ever been in one of those moods, where try as you might, you just can’t figure out what to write for your next blog post? It happens to the best of us. There are times when I’m simply out of ideas and others when…

My Editorial Calendar
Just Doesn’t Feel Up to Par !

For times like that, I’ve developed a list of 7 bad ideas capable of shaking me out of even my most difficult slumps. In sharing it today, maybe…

I Can Help You
Do the Same !

1. Talk About People You Do Not Like

If you haven’t noticed, I enjoy getting feisty from time to time. Posts like these are great for venting, but also do very well in the social arena. Why? Let’s face it…

People Love Drama !

Here’a a great example:

7 Type of People Everyone Wishes Would Just Shut the Fuck Up!

Obviously, when making a statement like this, you need to absolutely own it, stating your argument with confidence and persuasion. However, there are other, more graceful ways of making a similar point. The key is to find the line you never cross, and then straddle it. It’s a great way to…

Flex Those
Creative Muscles !

2. Talk About Commentators You Do Not Like

What better way to make waves then by berating people from your own comment section? Of course, you’ll run the risk of turning these people away, but for many bloggers, sending their most annoying commentators home packing is…

Welcome Relief !

We all have spammers, trolls, and other dubious spectators hanging out in our respective comment section. This is your perfect chance to get a bit of revenge, muster up a bit of drama, and probably…

Break Your Blog Topic Funk !

For Example:

7 Reasons Why I Will Delete Your Fucking Comments Plus a Bonus Shit!

This post was one of my most kick-ass content ever, and it helped me set the record straight for how I dealt with comments from that point forward. Just don’t forget to…

Deliver On the
Bonus Shit !

3. Talk About Content You Do Not Like

Well, we’ve talked about going after people we don’t like or don’t agree with, now it’s time to go after the content we don’t agree with. Most bloggers spend as much time reading blogs as they do writing for them, so you shouldn’t have a hard time finding something to write about. Many people get nervous making open arguments against another blogger, but I’ll tell you this –

People Will Respect You for it !

For Example:

5 Reasons Why You are So Insanely Wrong About Guest Blogging!

Granted, your argument has to make sense, and most importantly, be accurate, but if you can pull one of these off from time to time, I guarantee…

You’ll Gain
a Bit of Street Cred
in Your Niche !

4. Talk About Stupid Stuff in Your Market

I get so tired of hearing about blogg marketing tactics that I want to run to every blogger’s house and…

Smack Them Around a Bit !

Yes, I get it, blog marketing tactics is an important facet of every blogger’s repertoire, but there’s only so much of it that I can stomach. Eventually, it all starts to sound cliche. For those days, when you’re feeling a little froggy, you can write a post like this:

7 Stupid Ways to Promote Your Blog that Works!

In writing a piece like this, I have a choice – I can write a post making fun of people that talk blog marketing tactics all day, or I can write a real post that…

Teaches People
How to Do it Right !

You may not be in the blog marketing niche, but I’m sure there are pseudo-experts in almost every niche. It would be easy to dispel…

Their Ridiculous Truths !

5.  Talk About Fucked Up Stuff in Your Market

I’ve already mentioned the fact that I think most bloggers are talking out of their ass, but that’s just the beginning of the fucked up things in my market. Most of the rest takes place here…

On My Blog !

There’s nothing more fun than to talk about the tips or tricks that might be borderline scary, but totally effective. This takes place in any niche. In mine, it might be something like this:

7 Fucked Up Ways to Get More Traffic!

What Can You Do
to Give Advice that’s
Beyond Predictable ?

6. Talk About Ways to Fail in Your Market

When you’re tired of writing about ways people can succeed, it’s time to write about the varying ways they can fail, and…

The More Wicked
You Can Get,
the Better !

While this type of post might sound more fun than helpful, the truth is that there are always more ways to fail than there are ways to succeed, so you are doing your audience a service by…

Teaching Them
What to Avoid !

Here’s an example of a post that I wrote that was both entertaining and practical:

7 Wickedly Effective Ways to Fail As a Blogger!

7. Talk About controversial Stuff in Your Market

The last topic idea is one that should serve you well, probably more so than the rest of the list. The reason is that there is often conflicting advice in almost every niche, and there aren’t enough people helping to compare and…

Contrast the Two Sides !

One of the best ways to become an authority, one of the keys to blogging success, is to help people know which advice to trust. This is a great way to do that.

For Example:

The Fact, The Truth And The Myth Of Formal Vs Informal Writing And How To Write Unique Blog Content That Really Sell Your Readers To Read, Learn And Take Action!

There are thousands of posts that could be written in this format, it’s just up to you to make sure you get your facts straight. Do that, and your path to riches…

Will Be Paved
With Gold !

So that’s the list. Which of these 7 do you think you’ll try first?

Yeah, I agree with many commenters here….if you are going to take the piss out of someone or something do it with a bit of humor…you can get away with a lot if you can make people laugh at the same time. The thing is humor is a pretty subjective thing so what you think is funny might offend others so getting the balance right can be difficult.

Well, that’s how Frank Kern and John Reese do, I mean Frank always take on Reese about his success and Frank even created fake sites that copy Reese products out of no where… though Reese was piss off… in the end they are still good friends…

Hi Wong, I’m sorry. I was thinking of the commentator who’s into accumulation of linking and doesn’t care for the Web site’s owner. They use manipulation stuff, spinning tools or whatsoever and send to different sites that they wanna link to..you know what I mean.

I was thinking of something but I’m writing different stuff…you know, your site is very destructive. :) and mind is easily get destructed by external forces. How come you’re surrounded by beautiful ladies? Oh sorry, I shouldn’t blame others but rather be introspective.. :)

    Cheers!!!!

    All the best,

Well, at least now you reply to me and explain your meaning behind the comment and with that I accept what you are trying to say and I know there are some or may be most commentator who are into linking and doesn’t give a shit to the blog owner.
But as I said, after hearing you explanation, I’m rather relief you are not one of them because you did reply to me… as most of those commentator who are into linking doesn’t reply to me.
And about those beautiful ladies… well… you should read this post by a women talking about my blog:

Hi there, Some bloggers scare to leave negative comments because of the fear to be rejected. In reality, a real blogger will give his point of view whether its positive or negative. His objective is for the good benefit of all.

Seriously, I really don’t understand why are you talking about negative comment topic in this post because it makes me feel you are like spamming… explain your comment in detail or I will mark as spam.

LOL Wong…. you are full of great ideas that are usually amusing only because they are outside the box. Too many people preach about going outside the box, but very few wander far from it…..

I will take your advice to heart and implement some of your ideas in a blog post right now….

    Thanks for the advice,

I think Shoemoney takes the cake for number 1. he has a whole section on his front page of people he doesn’t like.

Well… didn’t know he had a whole section about that, and well… years back I use to read his blog but now I don’t because the content is not much as good as it was… as you can see… not many people actually read his post… not because had had less comment but because the content itself… isn’t that good.

I agree with the idea that sometimes you have to throw a curveball to get people to listen. There are thousands of guest bloggers out there and you need to sometimes just shake them a little!

I agree with you using oppressive language could help you drive more traffic, but the thing is does your reader (mostly) reaction on your blog posts was good enough? I’m also bothered if using such words could penalize your site.

Well… this post isn’t about oppressive language is about “bad” ideas you can use in a blog post and secondly if those words could penalize my site… I won’t be talking to you here and lastly… I was wondering how you found my site… which is the question that should answer your doubts :)

    Hi Wong,
Tough article. I have a rule that says: Never criticize people, companies, organizations, associations, etc. “You never know who your next customer are”.
And some people can get so angry that they start a lot of false rumors about you and your business, especially today when social media is so strong and it’s so fast, it can be a disaster for yourself. Like you said: Use it at your own risk!!

    • Wong Chendong aka The Bad Blogger 02/04/2012, 10:36 pm

Well, if you had hard evidence and proof… seriously… you can criticize, but some people will not like, I mean you can never please every single person that walk the face of the earth, so just be you and stand at what you believe and you will had people who will follow, and that’s the people you want to be customers :)

I agree, unique content that makes the visitor think, will be more worth than gold!

A guy recently on my article said that it made him look in the mirror on what he read, and that made my article be of worth. Excellent article Wong!

Hey, I purposely found the first picture through Big Stock Photo site, and seriously it just fit this post… I mean her face was funny and it really looks “BAD” on her almost naked body…
Anyway… I’m glad you have reader saying that, but to me if a reader really said that… I usually will hope for him to succeed in anything… as you know… sometime people just want their comment to get accepted, unless this guy had been commenting my blog for a long time… then when he said he look in the mirror I would more like believe what he said.

I think if I was going to do one of these I would do number 7. Talk About Controversial Stuff in Your Market. Although all of the ideas sounded like good ways to shake up you page and your subscribers I think I would do this one just because their are too many bloggers that want to be nice and take both sides and the reader never gets any hard evidence either way.

Well… there are good marketing and there are bad marketing, but I will not stay on any side, I will stand on the side I feel is right for me and also is right for my readers and subscribers to know.
I always believe bad stuff aren’t that bad, is just that what point of view you are looking at. Some people say SEO is the way to success and sure there are people who succeed in SEO, but there are also people who don’t give a shit to SEO and created awesome content to become successful and one guy I knew is Frank Kern… out of most of the product I brought from Frank Kern doesn’t even talk about SEO… and in one of his video product… he even said… I knew nothing about SEO…
So either way, is up to you to take side sometime :)

Well, there is a saying “If by noon you had not yet offended anyone, you are not marketing hard enough” Hey this is said by “Dan Kennedy”, if you do not know who he is, his “The Millionaire-Maker”, I’m not sure about you, but this is one of an advice, I do hope you will accept even if it sucks because that’s how you achieve success in marketing…
