As any successful blogger will tell you, writing content is only a small part of what makes or breaks a blogging career. While writing is always important, there’s plenty of great work to be done in between the gaps. Here is a list of some of the most important things you can do to improve the popularity and…
Functionality of
Your Blog !
1. Create a Unique Logo for Your Blog
In the beginning, it’s OK to get by with generic visuals, but ask any web developer or marketing expert and they will tell you that visuals are also your greatest chance to make a stellar impact. You can get logos from places like 99 Designs, or find a designer on freelance websites. Two great design communities are Forrst and Dribbble.
2. Design Your Blog Theme or Get a Premium Theme
There is certainly no shortage of great themes out there. Sites like Theme Forest seem to pump them out by the hour. If you can’t afford to design your own theme, then a premium theme is certainly your best bet. That said, if you can afford to pay a designer or design your own theme, then you should. A custom theme says that you are in business, not a hobbyist, and that can make the difference when…
Someone Chooses to
Give You Money !
3. Start Building an Email List
While many people hide from their inbox, email conversions are by far higher than for most other traffic types. Ads don’t necessarily perform well, and social is getting cluttered, but email, especially if you treat your email list right, is still a great traffic and conversion mechanism. And with Mailchimp offering free accounts…

4. Start Guest Posting
Guest posting does a few things for you:
- Helps you develop better writing chops
- Builds backlinks for SEO
- Helps you reach new audiences
- Helps you form relationships with other bloggers
The last point alone makes the venture worthwhile, but combined the impact…
It Can Be
Phenomenal !
5. Start Commenting on Other Blogs in Your Niche
Just like guest posting, commenting on other blogs can help you build relationships, this time with both bloggers and readers alike. It’s just like any other social venture, those that are outspoken and engaged tend to be…
Remembered and
Well Liked !
6. Start Communicating on Forums in Your Niche
Despite what you may hear, forums are not dead. Forums are a tried and true method for people to communicate about a topic, which is why they still exist even though they are a product of…
The Early
Internet Age !
7. Read, Study, and Update Yourself in Your Niche
A great CEO knows just as much about their industry as they do their own business. It is your job to know the market, know the audience, know the competitive set, and anything else required to make smart decisions about…
Growing Your
Blogging Business !
What I’ve given you above is a very powerful list. If you focus on spending time on all seven areas, each and every week, you will absolutely make great gains as a blogger. Have you used any of these methods? Share your thoughts below.

According to me every seven point has their own explanation and follow to rules. Like for example if you hire someone to design a professional logo for your blog which is giving a good look there on your blog but the blog is very new then logo itself can’t bring anything good in the favor of your blog.
So, according to me everything that you said in above seven points has their own follow to rules you can’t go with only one you has to work on several different things before you depend on any of the mentioned points.

Yes, you are right having a nice good design of a new blog is not going to make it a success, but at the least it gives visitor a point that you are a “serious newbie” rather then “another newbie” which I bet the first one sounds a bit better… since nowadays… there are just too many new bloggers coming in.

I’m working on Email List now and trying to do more email marketing than before.
I see that you mentioned Mailchimp there but I personally think that Aweber at some point is better after my migration from Mailchimp to Aweber.
I would not go for Mailchimp again for starting even if it is a free auto-responder service because as I migrate from Mailchimp to Aweber, they have to go through another round of Opt-In as this is a rule of Aweber and there are at least 50% of them didn’t make to Aweber due to that.
My suggestion is, if email list is important, go for something like Aweber straight away. After all, it is $1 for first month

I agree with you, I recommend Mailchimp because from a new blogger point of thinking which not all but most will think… of trying out first before going into the real deal.
But as you said since you had already know what you want, then it will be better to use a much more better autoresponder such as Awaber which I’m also using it too.

First thing to remember is to never give up, to keep on trucking, or rather writing, and remember that if the content is crap, no marketing effort will make it a success. No one starts a blog just for the hell of it, ensue that you have something to say. More publicity, promotion and, consequently, traffic will come your way, but only if the content is truly great. If you cannot write, get a writer to do it for you. There are loads for freelance sites online, where a blogger will write for you at a small cost.

The best way to really learn to write is to write, and the way to do it, is to use a pen to write… because hand movement is better then no movement and in order to move forward you just need to be practical.

And hey… if you have some money, it’s always easy to outsource, just like you said… there are so many freelance writer out there

Guest Posting one of the best technique to get links and traffic for a site. These links are also very useful for the ranking of the site but there should not be more than two links per post. It effects both ranking as well as traffic. Thanks.

October 13, 2012 at 3:41 pm
Well… if guest posting is about links and traffic… you are obviously wrong because guest posting’s goal is not about links and traffic but about fame and trust.

How well you do at giving information to let other blog readers to trust you and how well you reply to them that will create the fame between you and the readers, if you can do both… you are an expert and professional in guest posting…
But if you think is about links and traffic which most and almost everyone thinks… then you are always gonna be with the pack… while only a few that stand above the pack knows the answer

I wonder while writing this great post why dint you mention CONTENT anywhere? You said Update yourself with your niche but you dint mention update your blog too.. LOL .. anyways, in the ways you mentioned above, i appereciate the guest blogging most. I have been doing this since a bit of time and i got great results. My website earning got double. But recent week, my website was penalised and i lost over 80% of organic traffic. That is like anightmare to me. I am seriously looking to something great which can give me my previous reputation back. Meanwhile i wanted to ask you if there is any guest posting opportunity available to your blog? I have been a consistent reader of your blog since a long time and i guess i can write something nice for your blog and that might just match your style too. lol . Let me know

I guess “content” or “updating content” is kind the common sense because anyone who blogs knows that… if not… how the hack do they know how to blog in the first place.
One advice from you… better not ask “why dint you mention CONTENT anywhere?” on any other blog
Because… that’s not even a question at all… they will feel this “do you even know what’s the meaning of blogging”?
Anyway… if you had been a reader for a long time you should had knew I accept guest post… so is strange of you asking me about guest posting opportunity available here.
And I was wondering… how your site got penalised?

I dunno.. It got penalized on the day when Google rolled out EMD update, which means Exact Match Domain. But my domain have no keyword inside as it’s Commenti[.]org. I wonder what Google got to penalize my website. Still, every single of my web page is indexed, but none of them is ranking at good position. Before i had around 20 keywords on the first page, now i do not have any keyword in the first 10 pages. I hope you know how that feels.
And yeah, I have been a reader of your blog since around 6 months, i do know that you accept guest posts, but i have read a post by you where you mentioned about the guest blogger’s strategies and why do not you approve many guest posts. So that was a reason i was just confirming..

Guest posting, I love.
I think, for blogs, “guest posting on all famous and high profiled niche blogs” should also be added in the “brand identity” service online along with logo design and own theme design.
Guest posting is the best technique to get audience, traffic, clients, money and fame as well

Hi
To take your blog to next level you must build your credibility around social network. Commenting your other blogs, writing guest post & helping people in forums helps build your credibility. Your blog content & theme also plays a vital role in the process, after all your content is the thing that engage your visitors around your blog.
