Want to Establish Yourself As An Expert in Your Niche? Here’s 3 Things You Need to Do!

Thumbnail image for Want to Establish Yourself As An Expert in Your Niche? Here’s 3 Things You Need to Do!

There is a lot of trash being published each and every day on the Internet by those who claim to be an expert. And I don’t mean stories that are unimportant or stuff that no one cares about. I mean content and information that’s simply…

False !

You see, what happens is some dudes wants to make some money online, so they decided to enter a market (like dating, dog training, weight loss, hair loss, whatever) and write guides and ebooks about it. What they does is just a little bit of research to get to know what they going to be talking about and they starts to…

Publish Stuff !

Now, obviously, there’s no problem with that strategy, right? Everyone does it. The only time those dudes run into trouble is when they doesn’t really understand what they are talking about and shares all kinds of false information with their readers. Then they act on it like an expert and, get no results or, even worse…

Hurt Themselves !

So, how do you make sure you distinguish yourself from those dudes? How do you establish yourself as a genuine expert so that people know, beyond any doubt, that you’re the real thing and it doesn’t even occur to them that you might be just…

Faking it ?

Let me show you how:

1. Always Prove Everything

This is the number one thing you need to remember. You see, when working with people online, no matter what it is you’d actually like them to do, you always want to make sure you back up what you said with…

Proof !

What does that mean? Well, it’s actually quite simple. Let’s say you’re in the dating market and you’re teaching guys how to pick up women. If you state you’re a professional pick up artist, people might have a bit of a hard time believing you, but if you show them some of your pickup videos you recorded, for instance, then you’ve used solid proof to establish yourself as a…

Trustworthy Professional
Pick Up Artist !

2. Know Your Stuff Like An Expert

(Above Photo Credit to: uniqueProject)

No matter what you think or what market you’re in, there are always going to be real expert out there who really know what they’re talking about. They are the expert that can spot…

A Fake Miles Away !

If you’re just faking it and pretending to be a professional or expect, they’ll see right through it and  expose you. So, whenever you get into a new market, don’t worry about the money first. Do genuine research, go through all the drills and practice whatever necessary to really know your stuff.

Authenticity Goes a Long Way,
Trust Me !

3. Don’t Say it. Just Imply it !

Instead of just saying that you’re expert people should listen to, a good thing to do is imply it by what you do and how you communicate with your readers. For example, what do you think are your readers going to think when they see that the stuff you share on your blog is really helpful and high quality? Exactly.

They’ll Think
You’re An Expert !

They’ll think that since the content you put up is so good, then you have got to be an expert. Now, remember, you’ve not actually coming out and said it. They came to that conclusion on their own.

Very Powerful.
Try it !

This is it for now. If you use the tips I’ve shared above with you, you’ll eventually become an expert in your readers’ minds. It’s easier than you think…

You Just
Have to Do it !

Stay As And Expert,

Hey Wong!

Great article man!

I agree with you! I also think leading by example is a very important factor! This goes alongside with proof.

Before I ever publish anything one my blog I make sure I implemented it FIRST!

Actually, you doesn’t had to implant it first in order to post, if someone had done it and it’s successful, you can borrow other’s power of proof to show your readers it is proven.

Just being reliable and informative and real is enough isn’t it – like we don’t make outlandish claims so the reader wouldn’t expect us to be making anything false either.
But maybe we are too conservative also…

Thanks for this great info! It’s true if we want to achieve some special things in life then first of all we have enough self confidence for that because my point of view we can’t achieve any thing in life till we don’t have enough self confidence.
Also we should think positive on our thought in any types of conditions whether something going wrong or right in our life.

I know my blog inspired this post :) You can confidently call yourself an expert if you have spent between 2000-3000 hours working in a niche. Thing is Wong, if you claim you’re an expert, it will show in your ebook, blog etc. If you’re ‘faking it’ people, will know, because your book will be full of fluff. An expert’s book is FILLED with ‘revelations’ and useful information. Problem with this business is that since Amanda Hocking and the like started making millions selling ebooks the spammer rose from their wake and FLOODED amazon with crap. Sad, and now the self-publishers are calling for some regulation on the part of the Kindle.

There is always good and there is always bad, it is us who needs to be real all the time, though we can never satisfy every single person, but the least is a group of believers that trust us.
Look just imagine you created something good in the blogging niche that will make any blog get’s multiple link… and once you start selling this technology, those bad dudes will start to use your technology to modify and copy but call it a different name and sell it…
Thought their copied stuff isn’t real, it will make a bad name for you if those bad dudes did something bad to the technology… since you created the technology and from there rumors will start and in the end you have to start a new stuff again…
Well, that’s how life lead in this real world…

You have a point there…

Especially about that you don’t have to say that you are an expert. Just imply it, and people in your comment will do the rest :-)
