This is a really fun exercise in both history, and in writing, and it’s an easy way to add some fun and flair to any old blog post with the famous last words. Do a simple search for “famous last words” in Google and you’ll find dozens of examples you can use on almost every type of blog, and…
Every Type of
Blog Post !
Here are 7 of my favorites.
1. Oh Wow! Oh Wow! Oh Wow!

These were the famous last words of the recently passed Steve Jobs. Quite honest when you think about it, and so vague that they could be applied to many types of content. Use this when you’ve made a great realization, or just when you feel good about…
What You Wrote !
2. Hurry Back!

The famous last words of the late Humphrey Bogart, which he said as his wife was leaving to grab something from the store. This fits perfectly with a blog post, as you’re hoping your readers will all…
Hurry Back !
3. God Bless…God Damn!

What better way to wish your readers well than with this powerful famous last words voiced by James Thurber in 1961? They’ll leave your blog slightly perplexed, but with a phrase imprinted on their mind forever. I mean…
How Could They Forget You
After this ?
4. French Fries!

The full phrase before the famous last words spoken by James French before he was executed in the electric chair was…
“Hey Fellas!
How About this for a Headline
for Tomorrow’s Paper?
‘French Fries!’”
This would be a particularly hilarious way to end each and every blog post, simply because it doesn’t make sense outside of this context, but on paper…
Just Looks
Funny !
5. There is Another Skywalker…

The famous last words of the great Jedi, master Yoda. There is always more to the story, and this quote is perfect for…
Almost
Every Occasion !
6. Precious, My Precious!

Who doesn’t remember Gollum, the stingy little bastard creature from the Lord of the Rings? That little shit loved that ring so damn much, that he shouted after it as he fell into the fiery pits of Mt Doom. Your readers might not be precious, but…
Your Blog Posts
Should Be !
7. Live Long and Prosper!

Spock, of the Star Trek variety, made this line famous years ago, and happened to be his famous last words before dying in 1982 (does anyone really watch these movies?). Though I can’t promise to be a Star Trek fan, I saved this for last because it’s succinct, and wishes a reader well on their way back through the blogosphere.
If Only All Farewells
Could Be So Kind !
So there you have it, 7 famous last words that you can use to end your blog posts with style. Here’s my question to you – do you choose one that becomes a standard catch phrase, or do you mix them up with every blog post? Furthermore, I’ve only listed 7, let’s try to come up with 100! Share your favorite in the comments below.

Hehe, this is a brilliant topic. Using the right words to sign off can definitely have a longing after-effect. The French Fries one is really funny and wrong at the same time, lol, but hey, he said it himself after all! Bogart’s last words were also everlasting. Sounds like something he would say in style just like in all his great noir films of the 40s that are all timeless classics.

Yea it’s definitely super hilarious.. took me a while to get it and then I literally laughed out loud.. which felt weird a few seconds later since he died and all but I still smile thinking about it, lol. Many accomplished people wish they could leave behind a memorable legacy like him I bet.

Yes, this is indeed a great article to guide us how to end it with style. I guess every blogger needs to have that significant signature into it that makes it unique just like how Steve Jobs or Gollum end their sentence with their own significant style.

Hi Wong,
Interesting article, We always try to start our blog post with bang but we don’t give much stress to its ending, if we can end our post with boom then readers would enjoy it and remember it, they may come again to read next one. I mean it’s a good way to create loyal readers.

Hi
Using French fries at the end of a post would just be awesome because no one would have a clue and as far as I am concerned that is great. They would just wonder why he was going on about something you normally buy at mc D’s .
Some great lines here might try and implement them somewhere if I can
Thanks lee
