It was just past 1AM when I’d finally hit the publish button. This was it…my first product launch, and I was hoping against hope that I could use this to quit my job and finally become…
A Full-time
Blogger !
And then it happened…
“Ding !”
An email came in – it said someone just deposited $67 into my Paypal account.
“Ding !”
“Ding !”
“Ding !”
Three more emails, each with another $67. In less than 60 seconds, I went from being broke, to making six-figures.
My Life Changed
Forever !
1. Stories
By the time you finished my little intro, you probably had already forgotten about the title of this post, and that was intentional. Even though this story is fictional, it didn’t feel that way when I wrote it, and hopefully, it didn’t feel that way…
When You Read it !
Using stories to hook people is one of the best ways you can get their interest and open a blog post in a way that keeps them reading. If you read Copyblogger, you’ll see this done all the time. Why? Because…
It Works !
2. Pattern Interrupt
This is something used in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) circles all of the time… Did you notice how the above picture of a sexy girl came out of the blue, and had absolutely…
Nothing to Do
With the Story Above ?
It’s a sexy picture, and it absolutely works. Why? Because it throws people for a loop just long enough to sneak in the suggestion that they should keep reading. It’s an example of how you can use pattern interrupts to get someone out of their current state of mind and into the state of mind…
Required to Read Your Post !
You can use images, crazy statements, pop-culture references, videos, or even an all-caps emboldened sub-head that seems completely out of place, but just be careful here, because doing this wrong could…
Alienate More People
than it Recruits !
3. Talk About Money (Solve Problems)
I want to show you how I used just one tiny classified ad to make hundreds of thousands of dollars in the past 12 months.
This is a cheap tactic but it works. What you see above is me paraphrasing the legendary telemarketer, Don LaPre, who sold millions of dollars worth of junk to people…
Watching
Late Night TV !
Even today’s marketers use the same tactics, whether on the radio, TV, or online. Simply telling someone that if they keep reading, listening, or watching, they will learn the answer to all of life’s troubles. And it doesn’t matter…
What Niche
You Are in !
This is sales copy 101, and if used sparingly, it’s a great way to draw attention to important posts or pieces of content you’ve authored on the web.

The first thing that draws my attention is the headline (especially the one containing the word list or something similar) followed by image

Haha… hope you don’t get excited
great topic, I agree. Killer headlines seems to do the trick. It certainly has an effect on myself when reading various articles and magazines. A nice picture only enhances your article.

Of course it does work most of the time but not all the time.
photos are a attraction , so i use them quite often , making my own custom banners which catch attention .
sometimes the blog posts are so boring and not many photos to go with it , you can make ur own banners , better if ur a little creative

Well, I’m not an expert designer, although I always have a design in mind. Usually if I want to do banners and such, I always outsource them.
So, you do all your own banners? Or do you outsource some of it?
I think you are right. It will works to keep the audience reading. But I will try first.
Thanks for sharing
