Recently, I read a post from TechnShare title “What is a Blogger’s Daily Goal ?” and I strongly admit that the author of this post had written “a point” in the content that if you are going to make money online…
You Shouldn’t Read It !
You see, one of the point he mention that I personally feel you should not read is “To Receive Appreciation.” Now, receiving appreciation from others is good, but think about this…
What Can You Gain
From Appreciation ?
Seriously, you gain nothing but clapping hands and cheers from it. Look, if you think by receiving clapping hands and cheers, is going to make you money, well… guess what?
You Can Keep On Dreaming About It
And Still Your Bank Is Zero !
Listen, I’m not trying to bring you down saying by appreciation is not good, but in life you need money more then appreciation no matter what and if you want to really make money online…
You Got To Face
The Truth And Fact Of
Making Money Online !
The feedback you want from a person is always, “Where can I buy?” and not “That’s Nice!” You need to really understand, both makes a very big different in whether or not you will become…
Successful !
Great points you have, but there’s one point which I doesn’t want and that is getting appreciation. Well, I doesn’t want people to clap and say “you are great” because what I want them to say is “hey, can I buy something from you” Look, getting appreciation is good, but it is not going to make anyone’s bank good, and when success goal to come up in your mind… I guess getting clapping hands, will make you sad…
One thing I can take form your comment is that your blogging for money. Its not a bad option. Its not a good option. Blogging for money can help you to write great articles. But as time moves on, it will definitely affect your blogging career. Anyway, Its your opinion (I like reading different opinions). Thanks for the feedback !
First of all, he said “your blogging for money. Its not a bad option. Its not a good option..” Well, tell me in your own heart, is blogging for money…
Not A Good Option ?
I will let you answer this yourself. It’s common sense and I bet you know the right answer. Okay, he also went on to say “blogging for money can help write great articles.” but on the previous sentence he said… it’s not a good option blogging for money, so… I can assume…
His Content
Is Surely Not A Great Article After All !
And the worst part is… he said “as times moves on, it will definitely affect your blogging career.” Guess what? John Chow blogs for money, almost every few post, he will preview a product or service, and he is still…
In The Business For Money
Without Anyone Affecting Him,
Although There Are People Who Speak Dirty About Him
On The Internet !
Look, I’m not trying to challenge the author about what he teaches, but I definitely cannot let anyone to have the wrong ideal about making money online because one wrong ideal…
Can Make A Disaster
In Your Goal To
Making Money Online !
Now, he or may be you might not like what I had written above, but I rather being hated then being a liar, what I had told you is all honest-to-God fact you need to really really understand. I know there are lots and lots of young blogger coming out teaching and telling others how to make money online and if you are one of them…
Make Sure You Know
What’s Happen In The Online World
Before You Even Try To Teach !
If you are in doubt about your information, research it and find out the truth and the fact before you publish what you have written, just imagine you teach someone something you believe in and all along that was a wrong ideal… guess what…
It’s Almost Like
Virtual Murdering Someone
Who Had Listen And Trusted You !

This is interesting, and I understand the point you’re making. But, I don’t agree with you 100%. Let me tell you why.
First of all, getting appreciation can be a good thing. It’s about encouragement, and it’s about understanding that you did a good job writing the article (without actually earning money from it). And it keeps you going (at least in the beginning, because making money from blogging takes time, and if you don’t get any feedback and people clapping, you might stop at an early stage of your blogging career). But the really important part about the clapping, is sharing. I’m not just talking about sharing opinions (which is a good thing), but sharing your content. If people like it, and enjoy your writing, even though they didn’t buy anything, they might share your content on Twitter, Facebook etc.. and eventually some other people might buy what you’re selling.
To me, marketing is all about people and building relations.
Now, when it comes to blogging for money, if it’s a good thing or not. I believe it all depends on your goal. If your only goal is to earn money, and your only focus is to earn money, what you’re doing might be a short term. Look at all the well-known bloggers who are earning a lot of money, they are blogging for money (and it might be their main goal), but in the end it’s always about sharing information, people and building relations. The only way they are earning a lot of money from their blog is because it’s an awesome blog with lots of interesting information.
People buy products, and we need to understand what people want and how they react in order to buy.
Usually, we buy from people (or companies) we trust. I never buy from a guy I have never heard of. That’s why we need people clapping, because those same people who thinks you’re awesome will eventually end up buying when you got something to sell. It might take a while (much longer than using another sales tactic), but it will happen.
In the end, I agree with both of you. All I am saying about making money blogging is that we need more than this, it can’t be the only goal.

Well, agree with you partly for the reason… if in the beginning you cannot accept failure of getting appreciation… tell me how in the world can you get to the top level of success?
You wanted appreciation in the early stage to perform better… well what if you fail to perform..ah? you give up?
You know.. the simple thing I want people to understand is… able to accept failures and learn from it to be able to perform much better then before… if without appreciation… and you cannot perform… well… the best solution I can give you is go get Tony Robbins stuff and study to make your soul and spirit stronger because… the make money blogging community… is not going to pity you for any appreciation… you want then you got to accept failure….
Blogging solely for appreciation is doomed to failure, because not everyone has the time available to proactively tell you, hey! You’re doing great!
You need to blog to satisfy your own personal needs. If you wait for validation, you can find yourself stagnating alongside the road.
Blogging for money is great, blogging for relationships is great…it all depends upon your end goals (and not your audience….you!).

Well said, although it depends on your own self rather then the audience, but without the audience is almost zero… Hmmm… may be both… but I believe own self should always come first … nice comment… it puts me in thinking….
As with anything in life, the things you do should not be solely for external factors. Doing things for other people’s approval is not going to be satisfying in the long run. The same can be said of doing something just for the sole sake of earning a paycheck at the end of the day.
To gain a true reward from your activities, you should do things to satisfy your own personal goals.

Nice words.. “To gain a true reward from your activities, you should do things to satisfy your own personal goals.”
I like that… my personal goal is to make money online… I mean who cares about appreciation…
Hey Bad!! I couldn’t much more in tune with your post. I’ve been saying this for months and the years that I have in the game.
For me as well, it’s all about the earnings in the end. Whether you clap or boo, it doesn’t matter. Giving me a few clicks or hitting up a sponsor’s product is my satisfaction.
I only hope to give folks a reason to come back and see some of the things that interest them and me.
Take care!

Well said.. it’s all about getting the end goal, I too didn’t care much about the clap and boo… although, there are more boos in life… but that’s just side dish… just concentrate on the main dish… you will be full…
I took a quick look at the post in question, because a few important factors was left out in the introduction, namely who wrote it. I find posts on Technshare hit and miss in terms of content mainly due to the number of writers involved. The author of the post you had a problem with is only 17, and admits he is just starting out. Plus he is from India, and from other blogs I’ve read, they phrase things differently than other English-speaking countries do and it causes problems when we look for quality.
I want to cut him some slack, but your message is right. I’ve discovered through a career in theatre that when someone reacts in a negative manner to something (a joke, an essay, a piece of art), the message they received is a meaningful one to them, and their reaction is more meaningful to the artist than applause or other words of encouragement. It’s not that we should aim to piss people off, but if we aim to help them deal with their own insecurities, the world would be better off. People would learn to grow and accept other opinions. Agreement ends discussion; disagreement keeps conversations going.
First, the point of this post is… when advice was given to them and is down right correct, the person still cannot accept for the reason, of the feeling his losing out… Look, is not about whether his 17 or 71 years old, is all about the emotional of losing… you see, if he cannot accept the emotional of getting shoot by people like me who had given something that’s fact… how in the world can he advance when the level of playing the game gets difficult and hard…
Dude, i totally love your blog, the context and style man!
With that said, i sometimes think that a lot of bloggers are under pressure to show they are also in the game and tend to do stuffs like that.
Great content!
well… they doesn’t have to care about pressure, if they know what the hell they are writing…
Lol, this is one of the most interesting posts I read recently (just ran into in on Blokube and wanted to read it before I actually vote for it).
Although not related to blogging it reminds me of a story I ran into. There was a lady that had a static website where she was writing about cakes, cookies, etc.
Anyway, one day she posts a page about diaper cake. She rambles about how that cake is great, popular, tasty, etc.
She didn’t even bother to google “diaper cake” and learn that it is not a cake but a pile of diapers packed as a cake, a usual baby shower gift.
To tell you the truth, I didn’t completely understand his response but I did understand what you are saying and I definitely agree with you on this one.

haha.. sometime even talking to someone, not just others but myself too sometime forget wtf I’m talking about, is human nature… but in writing we could think before we write but I just don’t understand some people who write without thinking… seriously that’s not human nature… but liars…
Hahaha! I just read your post. I couldn’t agree more. What can appreciation do for your bank account? Nothing! If you are blogging to make money online, your goal should be to get your visitors want to buy your product indeed.
BadBlogger, I think your post should be displayed in every newbie’s blog out there.
John Chow’s example is great. If you want to make money you need to talk about products.
well… because most ebook out there talks more on passion of blogging, and because of that… most but not all blogger thinks by having passion is get appreciated by someone… I mean… business isn’t run like this…
Oh thanks for stopping by…
Blogging for money is good. Blogging for appreciation is good, too. Neither is better or worse than the other. It all depends on what your end result is that you want.

Well… I same hire someone to write for me and create something for me when I’m not sure… at least this people knows what they are writing…
i completely don’t agree with you. see if you writing something good then only people will appreciate you and if you are appreciated then you will be writing more. i agree that we all are here to earn money but what if you are not being appreciated by any one slowly and gradually you will stop writing. but a the same time if you are appreciated you will be encouraged to give something more to the people out there to read and thats how you will actually start earning…
I mean do you really care if you are appreciated? Just imagine I appreciate you for coming to my blog to really read my stuff, but do you really buy the stuff I did promote… you had to ask this yourself first… what about I going to your blog every now and then and read and comment and appreciate what you had written, I mean do you think I did click your affiliate links? Well… this may not be nice to know, but isn’t that the truth ….
its not about the affiliate links you click on…. its about being appreciated for the work you did…. you come on my blog read a post and if you really like it you will leave a comment for me… I, when read that comment, will feel good and be willing to write more…. or even if you don’t leave a comment instead you just click the like button on Facebook widget… I would again love to see that people are liking my content… which would keep me going… thats my point

very nicely said!! the problem is how to “force” our reader to buy something from us. i think that’s another way of appreciation. they won’t but if they don’t like what they see.
