If you want to build traffic and make money, there’s only one way to write content, and that’s to write it so damn well that people can’t help but to pass it on to a friend. But what if your content is so far beyond good, that it becomes…
Your readers’
Dirty Little Secret ?
What if they like your content so much that they not only become dedicated readers, but…
Secret
Admirers ?
That’s the trick I’m going to teach you today, and it goes like this…
1. Create a Tease in Your Content
As much as you want to, you can’t…you just can’t completely satisfy them right from the start. You have to work them into a frenzy, teasing them with bits of information in your content, rather than…
The Whole
Damn Thing !
You give them just enough to hook them in, such as a small tip or trick in your content, and then string them along day by day. It’s only dirty if you never give them what they want, but you won’t do that, you’ll just save it…
For a Rainy Day !
2. Instant Results
Though it’s fun to be a tease, no one likes to be played, and that’s how people will feel if you keep telling them that something big is coming, only to…
Never Offer it !
You have to prove that you can deliver at least something if you want to keep readers coming back for more, and that means showing them a tip or trick in your content that can bring instant results. People want to try before they buy, even if it means you have to…
Shoulder Much
of the Risk !
3. Breadcrumbs
If you were going to cure cancer, you wouldn’t do it by writing the answer on a napkin and then leaving it on the desk of the FDA, you would create an entire study, breaking down the process one step at a time. The same is true of…
A Series of
Pillar Blog Content !
Don’t just drop it at the doorstep, work your way to the conclusion, one post at a time, leaving small crumbs of content from start to finish. This way, new and old readers alike know how to start the research and arrive at the conclusion, no matter when they started following your blog. This means breaking meaty content into two posts, and meaty topics into…
A Series of
5-10 Posts !
4. Show What It’s Like to Be You

(Above Photo Credit to: cherieroberts)
If you’re living the dream, then give readers a glimpse into what that looks and feels like. Danielle LaPorte does a great job of this when she talks about…
Writing Her Book !
Chris Guillebeau does the same when he writes at length about his international travels. Others do it by talking about first class flights, fancy cars, and beach houses. No matter where you are, share the dream…let others have a taste and I guarantee, they’ll be yours. Why else do you think Pat Flynn would share his income online?
It’s All About
Attraction !
So there you have it, 4 ways to get readers to keep you in their dreams at night. Do these work on you? If so, which do you fall for the most? Curious minds want to know!

GReat Post there Wong. Its always hard to find early on, but you really want to give them value and help that they can use while leaving just enough that they want more…
One thing that I am doing right now is writing up an ebook that people have asked me for. It is taking way longer than I ever expected, but to ensure people know I am really working on it, I have been dropping tidbits of tips that they could use, which usually come from what I was just writing in the blook. This keeps people engaged and you get a little feedback from your readers that you can use to improve the product as well.

It’s great to heard that, and it’s a good way to send out tidbits to your prospect because if there is good success in your tidbits, they will want more. No doubt this strategy does work!

I am going to try to incorporate this into my writing to see if I can create a post like this, even if it is only once or twice. But by then I’ll have the format down. Thanks for this amazing post. Sally
