For making any blog attractive one must pay attention on the title first and then after comes the content which also must be unique to get the more eyes on them.

Anto Morpheus October 4, 2011 at 6:42 pm

Hello, this is the first time I visited your blog. These tips are interesting, but I have limited insight to understand it all. I can quote is the importance of choosing the language to attract readers.

Pole chain saw October 1, 2011 at 1:52 pm

Good stuff!
I got a little annoyed that I couldn’t click your examples ;) .

Although these words are a bit too strong, it is a great idea for anyone who needs to update their Resume/cv to read a copywriting book especially about power/trigger words, because these work wonders in your resume.

Rasika September 4, 2011 at 2:50 pm

Yes.. I would suggest unique headline with keyword related to topic would do better in seo

Wong Chendong aka The Bad Blogger September 4, 2011 at 5:56 pm

Yes, it will do better in SEO, but you also must understand readers are human and human needs the shock and awe to get interested… but of course if you can use keywords with shock and awe then that will be wonderful…

Nishadha August 18, 2011 at 5:00 pm

I give some thought to my post titles but almost always it is to optimize for keywords. Will definitely give these words a try.

Wong Chendong aka The Bad Blogger August 18, 2011 at 10:42 pm

Will you should because thought keywords are important, but to get attention from readers, you just need some shock and awe words to do the job…

These 7 trigger words are great.

Copywriters also call them ‘attention hooks’ and I call them ‘perception baits’

Also refer this post for 14 ‘slants’ of attention-grabber hooks

Wong Chendong aka The Bad Blogger June 1, 2011 at 3:50 pm

Wow, thanks for the link, I like the “One-Legged Golfer,” that’s John Calton’s best sales copy ever…

Victoria Rickert May 31, 2011 at 11:47 pm

Yep! those eye ball catchers work for me. Now that you have pointed them out, I will be paying more attention to the ones I can’t seem to resist clicking on, thanks for that. Victoria Rickert June 1, 2011 at 12:36 am

Your welcome! As to the best word that pulls me in…I haven’t gotten that far in my attention span on paying attention to words that trigger my click on it finger. Is ‘gotten’ a word? Oh, my country upbringing in rural Los Angeles :D

Lennart Heleander May 27, 2011 at 4:41 pm

Hi Wong,
Really good and strong trigger, I’m going to use many of them in my blog, I already use strong negative words to create debate and it works.

Wong Chendong aka The Bad Blogger May 27, 2011 at 10:50 pm

That’s nice, do you mind sharing some of your negative words here?

Delena Silverfox May 26, 2011 at 6:02 pm

All of these are great suggestions, and I’ve seen all of them (or variations) used with some really great results. For me, “stress-free” has always been the best success. Who couldn’t resist a little less stress, right? =)

Wong Chendong aka The Bad Blogger May 26, 2011 at 7:17 pm

Yes stress-free is a good word and it depends on which market you are going to use, if I’m not wrong is always in the motivational market.

sensible adsense May 26, 2011 at 5:44 pm

Wong Chendong aka The Bad Blogger May 26, 2011 at 7:16 pm

Rajesh@Google Gravity May 26, 2011 at 1:47 pm

Great headlines collection mate. I had great sucess with “Deadly” and “Killer” words which you had shared in your previous post. But, this one sounds a way better. Thanks.

Wong Chendong aka The Bad Blogger May 26, 2011 at 2:24 pm

Well, this two words sounds bloody and I personally believe bloody words are better then bad words… so do you mind sharing any title with the two words?

Rajesh@Google Gravity May 26, 2011 at 8:30 pm

I have used “Killer” for many posts. One of them being:
7 Killer Tips to boost your blog comments and
4 Deadly Facebook hacks you must know.

These words are pretty useful in increasing CTR from SEs too.

Wong Chendong aka The Bad Blogger May 26, 2011 at 11:05 pm

Wow, do you mind giving the link to those two post, and sharing in the comment? I would love to read them….

Riya @ Couponseasy May 25, 2011 at 8:05 pm

Hi Wong,

These are really attractive words to create attractive headlines of your post. I really like “Little Known” as it’ll certainly attract your targeted readers. People wants to stay ahead all the time from their competitors and this headline really promise same thing.

Wong Chendong aka The Bad Blogger May 25, 2011 at 11:11 pm

Ya, little known is a very deadly word to use to attract eye balls, I mean who doesn’t want to be the few that really know something.
I’m sure if I had a post that goes with the word, I’m sure you are going to get first attention and start reading about it.

Riya @ Couponseasy May 26, 2011 at 7:27 pm

Definitely!! Now you know my what I need. ;)

Allison Duncan May 25, 2011 at 1:03 am

I totally agree. It is all about how you pitch it. Even it you are selling cupcakes, tossing in a “Low Sugar option to Cake” in the headline will pull folks in.

Just make sure you aren’t selling the same old same old dressed up in new rags. People will still ignore you if you attempt that.

Wong Chendong aka The Bad Blogger May 25, 2011 at 6:37 am

Will, any great headline we use, we need to have awesome content that’s for sure, but if the content suck, just like you said, people will still ignore…

Heather C Stephens May 25, 2011 at 12:45 am

Love the headlines here, Wong!

I think rock solid is a good alternative to dead solid. Foolproof is a great alternative to bullet proof. Shocking, Free, Breakthrough, Announcing, Seductive, Hypnotic, etc. are all great words to add into your headlines to evoke emotion and get results. :)

Heather Stephens

Wong Chendong aka The Bad Blogger May 25, 2011 at 6:34 am

Ya, all the words your mention, does evoke emotion, especially “Free” and “Seductive” both are words almost anyone can’t ignore not to at least read what is it all about.
So, which one of the word had you use that had the best results?

Tech Crates May 25, 2011 at 12:43 am

Excellent…..will make note of it to use any of these in the coming headlines on my blog.

Wong Chendong aka The Bad Blogger May 25, 2011 at 6:32 am

Will, I’m sure you will get extra more eye balls looking at your content, and let me know which want works the best.

Tech Crates May 25, 2011 at 12:28 pm

Ya sure… I’ll let you as soon as I publish
