7 Bad Ass Blogs You Should Be Reading!

It’s time to bust out another list of awesome blogs. Many people missed the cut in my last installment, and I got some great recommendations in the comments, but I’m going to hold back most of them for another top 10 list. In the meantime, I want to focus not on great advice or popularity, but bad ass’ness.

Here are my seven favorite bad ass blogs.

The Bad Ass Project

How could I make a bad ass list without the Bad Ass Project? This blog is founded by Johnny B Truant and hosts a great list of amazing stories and interviews. If you’re into learning about what it takes to become a bad ass, then you must jump on this one.

The Middle Finger Project

Blogger Ashley Ambirge is a modern day entrepreneurial outlaw that seeks to change the world by proving that it’s OK to be a bad ass business owner. The Middle Finger Project is a great way to get some confidence and energy so that you can tackle even the fiercest entrepreneurial spirits.

In Treehouses

This isn’t really a blog, but it’s a great digital magazine that acts like a blog. Founder Thom Chambers uses In Treehouses to espouse a monthly dose of entrepreneurial wisdom from people that think and act different. I highly recommend that you pick up the latest issue, and if you’re feeling frisky, the entire archives.

The Art of Non-Conformity

Granted, this blog is becoming less about non-conformity than about lifestyle design, but it’s still one helluva read. Author Chris Guillebeau has a no holds barred approach to telling it like it is, and helping us make sense of it. Fresh back from his World Domination Summit, I fully expect 2011 to be another breakthrough year for Chris.

The Technium

Even though Kevin Kelly isn’t necessarily your typical blogger type, I include him because let’s face it, he’s a technological bad ass, and I love the fact that so much of what he writes is over my head. If the Matrix was real, the architect would be Kevin Kelly.

Men with Pens

Men with Pens was founded by a woman, playing a man, that later came back to being a woman, and for that, I nominate this as one of our top bad ass blogs. How can you not root for a crazy gender changer (not really, just roleplay) that writes amazing copy?

Carol Roth

If this woman doesn’t wear the pants, then I don’t know a single woman that does. She’s a great business strategist, and a fierce entrepreneurial dominatrix. Don’t get in her way, or she’ll tear you to pieces and then video blog about it.
