As an entrepreneur, blogger, business owner, or whatever else you want to call it, there’s really only one sure thing you can rely on, which is…
There’s Never Enough Time to
Get Everything Done !
Some people remedy this by trying to become more efficient, while others try to cut out things they aren’t good at, don’t need, or…
Aren’t Worth the Effort !
At the end of the day though, what it really comes down to is how effective you are at choosing where you spend your precious time and energy. If you can cut the fat, so to speak, then you’ll not only be more productive, but you’ll get better at what you do, and as a result…
Make More Cash !
So with that said, here are 5 signs that you’re wasting your precious time in your blogging efforts:
1. Your Traffic Numbers Are Stagnant or Trending Downwards
Look, there are always going to be ups and downs, but if you’ve been putting moderate effort into a blog that just isn’t growing, then take that as a sign that something needs to change. No matter what they tell you, “just keep going” is…
A Horrible Advice !
2. Lots of Traffic, But No Money
If you have a popular blog, but aren’t making any money, then there are two solid possibilities:
- You aren’t monetizing properly, if at all…
- You have the wrong audience
Sometimes, it’s us, and sometimes it’s them, but if you’re working hard and not making any money, then you are…
Wasting Your
Precious Time !
3. No One is Emailing You
This is a symptom of bigger problems, which is that people just aren’t interested in what you’re doing. If you are doing things right, people will email you every day, and eventually, they’ll email you so much that…
You Can’t Keep Up !
If you’ve been blogging for a while and aren’t getting any email, this is a sign you’re…
Wasting Your
Precious Time !
4. You Have to Keep Talking On Your Precious Time
Good bloggers don’t have to tweet the same post 3-4 times to get traffic, just as they don’t have to have a fire sale every time they want to make a sale. If you have to keep talking in order to be successful, then you’re on the hamster wheel, and this is a very good sign that you’re…
Wasting Your
Precious Time !
5. You’re On Social Media Talking About Social Media
I get it, Google+ is cool, and you should be proud of the fact that you were there hours before your friends, but get over it. If you spend your days in Google+ hangouts, or talking on Twitter/Facebook about Twitter/Facebook, then I’d venture to guess that you’re stalling and/or …
Wasting Your Damn
Precious Time !
So those are my 5 signs that you can use to judge your efforts. I’m curious, how many of you have fallen for these traps or found yourself stuck in a similar rut? Let’s chat about it in the comments.

This is called critical thinking or logic thinking, which is essential to your success. If you didn’t get what you want, you must have done the wrong thing.
By delving into specific detail, we will know if we are wasting time or on the wrong track doing the wrong thing

Nice post for watch himself. Every one knows very well what we are doing. From my point of view we should learn from our mistakes if we will apply this rule for himself then definitely we will know very well himself and after that we will not waste our time.

Though I’m not really sure who you mean by “himself” or are you trying to say “ourselves”. If it is then you are right, we ourselves must learn from mistakes and that’s when we learn and improve ourselves…

Great tips and signs of time wasters. Wasting too much time is a big cause of blog burnout too. I know, I’ve been there. When things start getting a little overwhelming it’s time to start looking at what tasks we are performing and find areas that are wasting precious time.
I suspect the popularity of social networking is big problem for a lot of bloggers. On the other hand, some people seem to have handle running multiple popular sites, are very active on the social sites and still find plenty of time to promote and write. I really admire those people because I’m one of those that have to schedule the various tasks and force myself to stop the fun things when it’s time time move on.

Well, seriously for those that run multiple popular site aren’t really running, I mean they actually outsource most of the task to freelance to handle… well… that’s how business should run, one example will be their “support help” which is to say any email coming in, will only go through the support team while more personal stuff will be handed over to the author.
You should not stop your fun stuff, I mean if you do it means you are working for a job not for a goal, you should always enjoy the fun time, so it’s best to outsource those task you think you are no good in and only does those that you are good in, this you will run your day in and out smoothly and still have time for some fun…

There are certainly alot of things that I do that seem to waste alot of time. Some of it I am able to overcome but some of it I cant seem to let go off. Its tough to break the mentality honestly, I am one of those that find it hard to give something up even though I know deep down I am wasting my time.

Hi Wong,
Good post and I am sure there are many more signs people waste time. At the end of the day the ones that are really successful learn from their mistakes. Traffic down? Ask Why? Why? Why? Why? Why? Once you get to the bottom address the problem and move on to the next problem.
The real good ones measure all these things and set targets, if they hit them what can be done better if they miss them they ask the same questions.

Hey brother,
Your blog is cool, and the ladies are sexy. Lol But I just wanted to leave a comment. “If you’re not getting emails, you’re wasting your time!” You’re 100% correct, brother. Every successful blog that I have had, I have had people add me on Facebook or Email me asking questions.
If you’re getting emails from your readers, that when you know you’re doing a good job. I’m only getting 30 visitors a day, but my inbox is getting filled up.
If you’re getting emails with barely any visitors, think of if you have 100 to 1,000 visitors a day, or more.
If you’re getting emails early on, this is a good sign that your blog is going to be successful.

Hey Wong,
A unique post that is actually worth the time – that’s how I am going to describe your post. I guess I am wasting time with blogging. I haven’t actually got any emails (Related to blogging) – expect for “guest blogging invites and requests”. And I do waste my time on Twitter and on Google +. But, that is just worth it. I got new friends and followers through networking
Thank you for the sharing the post!

What’s your ultimate Goal to blogging online? I’m sure is to make money, and you have to stick to the plan, do not waste too much time on something that have nothing to do with your goal.
Yes you can have lots of friends and followers but if no one buys from you, then it will truly be a waste of time…
Hope you understand what I meant.
